Ahhh...Spring...new blossoms, warmer weather, school's almost out for summer...so much goodness. And for this family, it's time to celebrate their baby girl's birth. I was blessed to capture Brooklyn as a newborn, and when she approached her first birthday, I suggested an idea. How about we start a tradition with Brooklyn wearing one of Mom's dresses, and make some portraits in the same dress and in the same location each year, and watch her grow into it. Mom loved it, and so it began. Here's a collage that shows the first three years' comparison. We've even deemed this little tree "Brooklyn's Tree". We hope that it will continue to grow and flourish as Brooklyn does.
I just love this little darling. She wiggled into my heart as a newbie, and each time I see her she amazes me with her spunk and beauty.
After we got "the dress/tree" photos, it was time for an outfit change for some family shots.
I love the in-between moments. Look how tenderly Dad is helping with the buttons and straps.
July 4th was soon approaching so a little Patriotic flair was in order. How cute are they?!
Brooklyn was eyeballing that playground the entire time and couldn't wait any longer...off she goes! I was happy to tag along to capture the joy.
Some of my most favorite shots came out of this playtime. Oh, how I wish, wish, wish that I had similar shots when my kids were this little.
This time flies by so fast. If you're a Mom or Dad looking at these...please capture shots like this, or have me or someone else do it.
Seriously?!!!!!
Heaven gave them a spotlight. :)
Hands-down...a forever favorite right here.
Thank you Gerber family, for trusting me with your family and especially with your precious baby girl. I love you guys!
